What’s New For 2026?

Bringing you more new trips for 2026!

There’s a whole new world of water waiting to be explored with SwimTrek's new trips and, to make it easier for you to explore what’s on offer, we’ve listed all of our new 2026 additions in order of their very first departure.

From Indonesia’s turquoise seas to the untouched beauty of the Galleon Coast in the Philippines, these journeys bring together dazzling coastlines, hidden gems, and experiences to inspire every kind of swimmer. You might find yourself slipping into island life on Thailand’s Koh Tao Explorer, or taking your very first strokes in open water on our new Discover Open Water weekend in Mallorca.

With more trips than ever for 2026, each one a chance to dive into a story of its own, the only question left is: where will the water take you?

Bacalar – Mexico

Leaving From 28 February 2026

  • Explore your tropical surrounds, criss-crossed by rivers and dotted with water-filled cenotes.

  • Swim the fresh water ‘Lagoon of Seven Colours’ and discover the largest freshwater microbialite reef in the world.

  • Ride rapids that flow among ancient ‘stromatolites’, offering some of the earliest evidence of life on earth.

  • Relax after your swims in the lakeside town of Bacalar and visit the 18th-century fort – home to a piracy museum filled with colonial-era weapons and artifacts.

Koh Tao Explorer – Thailand

Leaving From 14 March 2026

  • Swim the calm archipelago of Ang Thong Marine Park, east of Koh Samui, exploring coral gardens, bursting with marine life, like turtles, angelfish, groupers, stingrays, and possibly whale sharks too.

  • Settle into island life at stunning beachside resorts on both Koh Tao (‘Turtle Island’) and Koh Samui, enclosed by peaceful gardens and palm trees.

  • Trade the party scene of Koh Phangan, for more secluded days of reef swimming with turtles, hiking rainforests and island hopping. A few of our early starts also mean we avoid other tourist boats at more popular reefs.

  • Sample the world-famous flavours of Thai cuisine – a blend of sweet, sour and salty tastes, balanced with aromatic herbs and spices.

Pinnacle Resort Koh Tao & Koh Samui: We start our journey at the tranquil Pinnacle Koh Tao Resort, a serene hotel in Koh Tao with a private beach, amidst natural beauty and eco-friendly practices. The second part of our trip sees us enjoy Pinnacle's Koh Samui resort.

Discover Open Water Mallorca

8-11 May 2026

  • Suitable for newcomers to open water swimming, or for anyone looking to build their open water confidence and skills.

  • Benefit from flexible coaching with sessions tailored for your abilities. Enjoy technique coaching sessions in a heated 50m open-air pool, then take your new skills to the open water in neighbouring bays.

  • Gain a greater understanding of open water swimming techniques, preparation and safety with group seminars and social events, led by our seasoned guides.

Sulawesi Explorer - Indonesia

Leaving From 27 May 2026

  • Swim and snorkel to uncover the biodiversity of Bunaken Marine Park – a colourful megacity of ocean life at the heart of the Coral Triangle. You can even snorkel at night!

  • Cross from the mainland to the many-tiered Bunaken reefs, crowded with around 500 different types of coral and over 1,500 species of reef fish.

  • Seek out the local abundance of green sea turtles, grazing among the coral and over seagrass meadows below you.

  • Explore the northeast coast of Sulawesi and swim to the island of Manado Tua with its extinct volcano, covered in trees and shrubs.

Sulawesi Short Swims, Indonesia

Leaving From 3 June 2026

  • Swim the jewel in North Sulawesi’s crown, sitting on the northern tip of one of the four Greater Sunda Islands.

  • Enjoy snorkelling and swimming sessions, marvelling at the incredible biodiversity that makes Indonesia’s Coral Triangle world famous.

  • Travel off-the-beaten-path to an island dotted with fishing villages, wrapped in white sand beaches and circled by coral gardens.

Ithaca SwimHike

Leaving From 6 June 2026

  • Explore all that the mythical Greek island of Ithaca has to offer by swimming along its gorgeous coastline and hiking its breathtaking landscape – all in one trip!

  • Follow our local and experienced hiking guide on scenic trails to sleepy bays and coves, finding historical ruins and panoramic lookouts, peering over the serene Ionian Sea.

  • Walk up to 5 kilometres daily and find coastal wonders, like the white pebbles and blue-green shallows of Gidaki Beach from Vathy.

  • Swim up to 3 kilometres each day, roaming the sunlit surrounds of this peaceful Greek refuge – the fifth largest of the gorgeous Ionian islands.

San Pietro, Italy

Leaving From 6 June 2026

  • Roam Sardinia’s southern coastline, enjoying a mix of coastal swims and crossings – like an epic adventure from San Pietro to Isola dei Ratti – as we seek out the region’s best white sand beaches, coves, caves and bays.

  • Swim alongside the dramatic cliffs of Sant'Antioco Tonnara and round the westernmost tip of Italy, overlooked by a 19th century lighthouse

  • Explore the surrounding Mediterranean Sea, populated by an array of exciting marine species, including gentle basking sharks, Risso’s dolphins, bluefin tuna and Loggerhead turtles.

  • Visit the nearby birder’s paradise of Spiaggia di Cala Fico – home to protected Eleonora's falcons that nest in the cliffs.

  • Relax after your swims in a quintessential Italian fishing town, Carloforte, with strong Catalan and African cultural influences.

Paxos Explorer, Greece

Leaving From 13 June 2026

  • Visit unspoilt Paxos, cast adrift from Corfu, and used in Greek mythology as a romantic retreat for Poseidon and his beloved Amphitrite.

  • Enjoy adventure swims you’ll remember forever, like the crossing between Antipaxos to Paxos and a circumnavigation of Antipaxos’ wild coast as well. You’ll even have a chance to visit a few of the island’s famous ‘Blue Caves.

  • Stay in the elegant Agali Hotel Paxos, peering over the glittering expanse of the Ionian Sea, within walking distance of Gaios across the bay. The hotel has its own private jetty for an easy escape to local swimming spots.

Galleon Coast – Philippines

Leaving From 3 October 2026

  • Enjoy the convenience of a large pontoon with boat access directly outside the resort. Escape quickly to tropical locations, like the protected reefs surrounding Isla Verde – all within a 30-minute ride from our base.

  • Explore the reef off Sabang Beach, bustling with colourful marine life, including: lionfish, sweetlips, nudibranchs, Napoleon wrasses, sea turtles and spider crabs.

  • Swim the Verde Island Passage in escorted groups, where Manila galleons once sailed between the Philippines and Mexico, stopping at Puerto Galera.

  • Relax at our environmentally conscious resort after your swims, dine at the restaurant, dip in the pool, and lose track of time in the steam-soaked spa.
