Equipment Checklist

In addition to your daily non-swimming clothes, we also recommend that you bring the following items:

*Try to bring one clear lens and one tinted lens for different light conditions.

Water Temperature

*Please note that these temperatures are indicative and should be used as a guide only.

Swimming in lakes is a fantastic experience, however water quality can, at times, be affected by water runoff from local fields. Blue Green Algae and Weil’s Disease are possible contaminants, so if you do feel unwell at any stage during or after the trip, you should visit a GP immediately, telling them you have been lake swimming.

Valuables will be left at your own risk, Neither Latitude or SwimTrek cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged items. We recommend bringing a towel, pair of flip flops and a light top that can be worn to the lake.

Meeting your SwimTrek Guides

Adventure Swim Start Times: You will meet your guides at the main entrance into Latitude 15 minutes prior to the start time of your swim. The lake is approximately a 10 minute walk away west of The Alcove, directions to the lake will be signposted.

Swimming Numbers

• Morning Adventure Swims are capped to 24 swimmers per session.
• Twilight Adventure Swims are capped to 16 swimmers per session.

To sign up for any SwimTrek swims, you must register on-line and in advance of the event as numbers for the adventure swim are capped to ensure sufficient levels of safety cover. After registering on-line, full details with final arrangements will be emailed to you approximately one week prior to the festival.

Please note, if you book onto the morning adventure swims, swimmers that are not at the main entrance on time will not be allowed into the festival venue to join the group as the swim commences before the festival officially opens each day - Swims can't be transferred to another day.

The the minimum age for our swims is 12 years old.

You understand that open water swimming is potentially hazardous, and you should not enter and participate unless you are medically able and properly trained. SwimTrek reserves the right to change/substitute/shorten the course at the event if there is bad weather - This is to ensure that the event runs safely.
