Tour Highlights
Experience a Greek holiday that combines laid-back island life with swims in warm Aegean waters, hugging lunar-like coasts and the ‘white mountains’ of Milos
Find a breathtaking variety of sea stacks, caves, tunnels, and archways, which shape the island’s unique topography
Discover a cultural scene unspoilt by droves of tourists, roaming sleepy fishing villages and ancient catacombs
Seek out scattered strings of inhabited and uninhabited islands – we enjoy plenty of coastal swims to explore the shallows and find local marine animals as well
Choose between two accommodations in Pollonia, either En Milo or Kymata Studios
What could be better than a week on a Moon-like Greek island, escorted by yacht to lesser-known swim spots? This swimming holiday takes you to the uncrowded reaches of the blue-green Aegean. Swim in a seemingly endless summer, seeking out sea caves, grottoes, stacks and arches to explore. The way radial light pierces the depths here is truly unlike anywhere else we visit.
In water, we will find a different side to this geological museum, swimming between uninhabited islands and searching for local marine life – you might share the warm shallows with sea turtles, reef fish, octopi and, if you’re very lucky, the endangered Mediterranean monk seal.
On land, Milos is defined by lunar-like landscapes of bone-white rocks, dry plants and sheltered coves and bays, hugged by fishing villages. There are a few iconic beaches that cry out to be photographed, like Sarakiniko, on the island’s northern shore – here you’ll also find the wrecked remains of a ship that ran aground in 2003.
There’s a reason Milos is synonymous with magic! We settle into the laid-back pace of island life, unhurried by the worries of busy home life. You will have time to enjoy an array of cultural highlights and you can seek out local attractions as well, including ancient catacombs, a Roman theatre and the Venetian Plaka Castle, perched on the hill of Prophet Elias.
Fallen for Milos but not found your perfect match? Explore our other trip variants for differing distances and specialised itineraries: Milos Long Swims, Milos Short Swims and Milos With Teens.
Who is this trip for?
This trip is designed for swimmers who enjoy both coastal swims and crossings as well as exploring sea caves, tunnels and arches on our coastal swims. The pace of swimming is often slightly slower than usual due to the abundance of underwater vistas and caves and tunnels to explore.
Swimmers should have a basic understanding of open water swimming and be capable of completing the average swim distance and average daily swim distance (over the course of two swims) prior to the start of the trip.
The average swim distance is around 3km. The average daily swim distance is around 5km.
We have given this trip a ‘Moderate’ grading. Most swimmers comfortable in the open water will be able to take part and enjoy one of these trips.

Starting with excellent guides who made us feel safe, the trip was amazing. Beautiful views above and below water, homemade lunches from the crew, invigorating winds to navigate through. I'm still rocking on the boat!
SwimTrek allowed me to swim in places I never dreamed possible. I will be forever grateful for this incredible experience.
The Milos explorer was the swim trip of my dreams. An incredible experience. Thanks to our guides, captain and boat crew for keeping us all safe. An unforgettable experience
Milos is stunningly beautiful and swimming along the coast in crystal clear waters is one of the best ways to experience it.

Milos is a mind blowing explores adventure: totally insane experience !!
That moment when you dive off the boat, in to the most perfect water, surrounded by rocks that the most reluctant geologist will find awesome, gets better every day of the trip.
