As we enter into February, much of the Northern Hemisphere is pretty chilly, and we don’t blame you if catch your mind wandering to sunny beaches and summertime adventures in the water. Flights are generally cheaper before the rush of high season, the weather is milder but still pleasant and you’ll be heading out before the influx of tourists in the busiest summer months. Palma from £62
Swimtrek runs a host of different trips in sunny Mallorca from April to October. June sees the return of our Introduction to Open Water and Open Water Development weeks which offer a great chance to improve you stroke and confidence before the summer season. Palma is less than an hour’s drive from our base of Colonia St Jordi, so you don’t have long to wait from touching down to dipping your toes in the sea!
Dubrovnik from £91, Tivat from £145
Dubrovnik and Tivat are ideal airports to travel to our Montenegro Fjords trip. The stunning walled city of Dubrovnik is a couple of hours drive away from our home for the week of Perast, and the journey down journeys through the vast mountainous countryside of southern Croatia before opening up into cliffside drives along the winding coast of Montenegro. Flying into Tivat is the quicker though less frequent option, and at just 20km away from Perast, you’ll be in the beautiful grounds of the Perast Palace in no time.
