2018 sees SwimTrek bring its largest ever offering of stunning tall ship adventures aboard the Lady of Avenel. SwimTrek first set sail with this unique liveaboard in 2016 and since then our trip offerings have grown to cover Ireland as well as England and Scotland, bringing new possible adventures with them. Witness some of the most striking locations not only in the British Isles, but indeed Europe and the world. Our trips will see us sail to iconic destinations, where you’ll get to take in the natural beauty from the Our Lady of Avenel trips see us visit remote areas and some classic examples of the stunning British Isles coast sides. These swims also offer some of our more challenging conditions and are perfect for the trekker who want to push themselves to achieve something momentous.

Experience a unique liveaboard trip

The Lady of Avenel is a working tall ship that when it’s not providing our stunning base for our SwimTrek’s, you can find her doing all manor of other jobs, such as passage cruises, delivery trips to mainland Europe and tall ship races; life aboard the lady of Avenel has so much more character to offer than a regular yacht. The 102ft Brigantine square rigged ship offers fantastic views from the deck to the top of the rigging and provides cosy sleeping quarters at the end of the day. One for a completely unique holiday.

Experience our stunning British Isles locations from a new vantage point than you may have seen before; amongst the gentle waves. The ship itself is an impressive sight to swim alongside in the water, and our locations across the British Isles offer a great viewpoint to take it all in from the water level. Whether your approaching the Scillies or traversing the Small Isles in the Inner Hebrides, take the chance to see these naturally beautiful sights from a new perspective.

Reach remote areas

Our Lady of Avenel tours across England, Ireland and Scotland, offer access to some of the most isolated and beautiful parts of these countries. Take the chance to explore some of unique, off the beaten track locations that you may not have heard of, to more well-known names such as the Isles of Scilly, the Wild Atlantic Way trail on the Donegal coastline and sail past and explore the uninhabited islands of the Southern Outer Hebrides. Take the chance to tick of these bucket list locations and perhaps surprise yourself with the discovery of an unknown gem.

Enjoy home cooked meals

After a great day’s swim, relax on board as all your meals are included in your trip price and are provided by an excellent on-board chef. Wherever possible, local ingredients are used and will definitely be something to look forward to after a challenging swim session.

SwimTrek is running four different tours aboard the Lady of Avenel in 2018; The Outer Hebrides, Isle of Skye and The Small Isles, Donegal Atlantic Way and Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Prices start from £1,390 for a Twin Share Cabin.
