This year we have a new Italian trip to the Tremiti Islands on the western side on the Adriatic. For a new twist why not combine one of our Croatian trips (Dalmatian Coast, Long or Short Swims) on the Eastern side on the Adriatic with a week in the Tremiti Islands on the Western side and explore both sides of the Adriatic in one trip.
Our Croatia trips finish on a Friday & there are overnight ferries from the ports of Zadar or Split in Croatia to Ancona in Italy. It’s then a short train ride to the ferry port at Tremoli or the heliport at Foggia – the gateways to the Tremiti.
Our Croatian Dalmatian Coast trip is based on the Island of Prvic Luka in Central Dalmatia & explores some of the 40 islands of the Sibenik archipelago, strung out like emeralds in the sapphire of the Adriatic! Our Long & Short Swims Croatia trips are based in the historic town of Sali on the island of Dugi Otok, which is part of the Karnati National Park, a remote & often uninhabited lunar like group of islands off the northern Dalmatian Coast
Compare either of these with the Tremiti, the only Italian Islands in the Adriatic! These islands form part of the Gargano National Park off the calf of Italy and are the perfect place to enjoy some Italian culture. The archipelago is full of history and is a natural marine reserve with crystal clear waters & an abundance of sea life.
