Tour Highlights
Enjoy shorter swims in the clear fjord waters of the Musandam Peninsula, where populations of bottlenose and Indo-Pacific dolphins play and surf the bow waves of our boat
Swim with epic backdrops of the dusty northern Hajar range, dwarfed by sheer cliffs and mountains that make you want to stop and float in awe
Between swims, enjoy delicious lunches onboard our very own dhow – the perfect vessel for this otherworldly setting and the remoteness of your desert surrounds
End your days with panoramic views over the Strait of Hormuz from our luxury 4-star hotel in Khasab. You will also have a chance to drink in the arid vista from the isthmus, which separates the Persian Gulf from the Gulf of Oman
Adventure swimming doesn’t get much better than this! The fjords of Oman never fail to inspire awe, serving up the kind of mountain backdrops you’ll just want to stop, float, and drink in. The clear waters are also enjoyed by populations of bottlenose and Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins – particularly active in the early mornings and late afternoons.
Often described as the ‘Norway of Arabia’, the Musandam Peninsula is one of the Persian Gulf’s great wildernesses. Separated from the rest of Oman by the UAE, the peninsula lies at the extreme north-eastern tip of Arabia, where the steep red rocks of the Hajar Mountains plunge into the blue waters of the Arabian Gulf, creating a labyrinth of massive fjords (khors).
Our traditional local ‘dhow’ is the perfect vessel from which to explore this area, allowing us to reach cliff-edged waters that were never swum prior to SwimTrek’s arrival in the area. At times, you will look up and be dwarfed by the dusty northern peaks of the Hajar range, feeling like you’ve entered an entirely new world. From epic swims, to fascinating local culture and delicious cuisine, this trip allows you to experience a desert peninsula of staggering natural beauty from a unique perspective.

Reviews
As a first SwimTrek experience it surpassed my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to go another SwimTrek, I loved it.
Our Oman Fjords SwimTrek week was outstanding in terms of location, guides(John and Mike) and our group!!!
The Omani Fjords were magnificent. The juxtaposition of sparking blue water and barren, gloomy mountains was breath-taking. It was a great privilege to be able to swim in the Khor. Well done.
Excellent experience for my first swimming holiday, perfect conditions, stunning location and most important such a lovely group of people to spend a week in the water with!
What a memorable trip in so many ways. The magical fjords of Oman enveloped us whilst we swam in perfect conditions.
