Tour Highlights
Be a pioneer and swim where few have been before you in the far-out paradise of Fiji’s Yasawa Islands
Join like-minded swimmers with plenty of opportunities to swim safely in an archipelago of 330 islands, edged by pristine coral reefs
Hit the reset button with golden beaches, palm trees and clear seawater teeming with manta rays, dolphins and tropical fish!
Relax or join in with local activities on the sustainable, self sufficient resort and appreciate the local produce
The name Fiji conjures up images of golden empty sands, palms trees galore and sea waters that have a shade of blue that is not matched anywhere else. The Yasawa Islands, a picturesque tropical paradise nestled in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, just off the shores of Fiji. There's a reason Hollywood films and reality shows come knocking at these shores so often - it's a veritable paradise!
Comprising many idyllic islands, each boasting its own distinctive allure, this archipelago captivates with its breathtaking natural beauty and inviting ambiance. From the mesmerizing hues of crystal-clear turquoise lagoons to the powdery softness of pristine white sandy beaches, and the vibrant underwater tapestry of lush coral gardens brimming with marine life.
Staying on the sunset side of Nanuya Lailai Island, we use this island as our base for the week as we head out and explore the surrounding beaches and contrasting peaks that the Yasawa’s have to offer.
The resort takes pride in being self-sufficient. Solar is also an integral part of the daily Nanuya Island Resort operation with over 200 solar panels providing power to all accommodation options as well as the kitchen, restaurant, spa and staff quarters. Installation has not only helped the environment but has also resulted in an 80% drop in reliance upon diesel consumption. The resort offers the perfect location for a relaxing stay with an environmental focus.
Who is this trip for?
This trip is designed for those who want to combine spectacular coastal and inter-islands swims in the exquisite waters of the Yasawas, while also learning about Fiji's nature, culture, and local lifestyle, meeting local people and experiencing the famous Fijian Bula Spirit.
Swims include a mix of coastals and crossings. Swimmers should have a basic understanding of open water swimming and be capable of completing the average swim distance of 3 km prior to the start of the trip. The average daily swim distance is around 5 km (split over a minimum of two swims).
We have given this trip a ‘Moderate’ grading. Most swimmers comfortable in the open water will be able to take part and enjoy one of these trips.
